Interior design in Cape Town

A home should reflect the people who live in it. I work with residential clients in Cape Town on interior design, decorating and interior architecture, bringing together the practical planning and personal details that make a home feel right. Based in Johannesburg, I support projects through site visits, project management and remote collaboration. Your Cape Town project You may be renovating, planning a new home, furnishing an apartment or refreshing the rooms you already have. We begin by discussing your ideas, how you use the space and what you would like to achieve. Photographs and plans help us understand the starting point, while conversations about your preferences shape the direction. I bring more than 24 years of experience, including work in South Africa and Europe, to this personal approach. Design, decorating and interior architecture My interior design services include furniture layouts, custom cabinetry, storage, materials and finishes. Kitchens, bathrooms, lounges, dining rooms and bedrooms can be considered as individual spaces or as parts of a connected home. Outdoor living areas can also form part of the brief. For renovations and new homes, interior architecture considers elements such as ceilings, flooring, lighting, windows and doors in relation to the overall interior. Decorating brings in furniture, fabrics, rugs, window treatments, art and accessories. We can combine these services around what your project needs. Site visits and remote support Working with a designer based in another city starts with a clear understanding of how you will work together. I travel for site visits and provide project management, alongside remote design support. We discuss the scope of the work, when in-person involvement is useful and how we will stay in touch as the project develops. Whether you want guidance on a particular room or support with a broader transformation, the aim is the same: thoughtful decisions, a coherent interior and a home that reflects your way of living. Start a conversation Email admin@marcventer.com with your Cape Town project location, the type of property and a short description of the work you have in mind. Include any photographs or plans you would like to share. We can discuss the design support you need and how site visits, project management and remote collaboration can fit your project.
